Sometimes in life you get thrown a curve ball. Everything was fine, but then one night you wake up to a tree branch that just fell on your house, and the storm that just came through town just gave you a brand new pool in the living room. What are you going to do now?

Surely you have homeowner’s insurance but what is that going to do? It can actually do a lot for you! Now is a good time to double check what your policy covers when it comes to your roofing expenses. Homeowners insurance covers a very broad category of damage, especially to your roof. Did you know that in most cases it can cover experiences that are out of your control, such as that disastrous storm that knocked over that tree, or even acts of vandalism?

Fire protection, tornados, patches or holes in your roof are all possible claims that you can file with your insurance agents. Most of the time your policy can cover the expense if your roof is less than 10 years old, although that is not always the case. If your roof is more than 10 years old, you could possibly be reimbursed for the depreciated value but it’s still best to double check with your insurance agent.

Filing an insurance claim is easy, and we can walk you through the steps to do it. Start by calling your insurance agency and file a claim. Then, schedule and appointment for an adjustor to come by your property to look at your roof. Give us a call at 501-348-7522 and let us know when they plan on coming so we can be there when your adjuster gets there, too. They will give you an estimate on how much they can pay, and we will take that number and do the best job that we can fit to those figures. It all depends on the estimate, size of the claim, and the deductibles but we want to help you get the full value from your policy. For example, if your insurance will only pay for a 20 year 3-tab shingle, we will use a 30 year 3-tab shingle at no additional cost.

Our customers come first and we are willing to go the extra mile every single time. You’ll get better quality and service with JZ Roofing, always – that’s our pledge.
